November Blog Hop

Well, here we are, November already! We are so glad to have you join us on our Blog Hop. You have just come from Ronna Powers site ronnaspaperplace.blogspot.com  Isnt she creative? I just think her idea was so cute.
Here is my tag idea for you today-
I used the Apothecary framelits in very vanilla with early espresso  mat. Stamp set is Harvest of Thanks with early espresso and pumpkin pie ink. Leaves are from the Sweater weather DSP with the Autumn Accents Bigsz die.
Here's a closer look for you-
I used the burlap ribbon and a small naturals button with linen thread. It is hung on the bag with some pumpkin pie chevron ribbon. I thought crumpling the leaves and sponging the edges made them look "Fallish"

Hope you enjoyed my tag today and you are ready to Hop over toe see what Linda Shillingburg has in store for you on lindasstamptherapy.wordpress.com
See you in December!  Thanks Caren-

World Card Making Day Today Oct 5th

YEAH!!! Today is World Card Making Day!!!! We had a fun class and made a Halloween card using the washi tape. The card Idea was cased, but I forgot who it was from-I am so sorry! I tweaked it to use washi instead of the Stamp Set Tape It.
Then, we recycled toilet paper tubes and made some really cute treat holders with the Tags 4 You set and the Witches Brew DSP.
Finally, I want to show you my CASED treat box from our Stampin Sucess magazine-
This is called Ghosting. I stamped on whisper white with white craft ink. Let it dry completely and brayered with the Smoky Slate ink pad. I made a box using a 5x9 piece of paper. Scored horizontaly at 1, 4, 5,and 8.
Then turned it vertical and scored at 1 and 4. You get the idea- just clip - add sticky strip and you have a box.
Well, that's it. Hope you made a card or two. Most of all, if you did, I hope you mailed a card to complete the day.
Have a great weekend and I will be posting again for you soon!
thanks

Black & White with a POP of Color

Hello! Welcome to my blog today!
One of the newest trends in scrap booking and card making is Black and White. Elegant. Crisp. Pops with a color added. My inspiration for color came from the blue tissue inside the MY PAPER PUMPKIN kit. I CASED the card from our Stampin Success Bi-monthly magazine.
The photos really don't do the cards justice. The blue two layer butterflies and the three layer flower POP against the black and white.
I love the Simplicity and striking appeal of both these cards. Guess now that I have a supply of the pretty blue tissue in my kits, I need to think up some other ideas to use it! Thanks for stopping by-   C

Here are my supplies:
Tissue from My Paper Pumpkin kit
Basic Black and Whisper White card stock
Basic Black ink
Modern Melody DSP
Perfectly Penned stamp set
Ex Libris stamp

Go Stamp It Banner Blog Hop

Welcome to another Go Stamp It Blog Hop!
We are featuring the banner kits in your Stampin Up Holiday Catalog.
They are so fun to make and you can do them for ANYTHING!
You have just arrived from  Samis Stampin Spot
                                                              ADORABLE!
Now that's a hard post to follow!!!!
I just cant compare to that precious photo. Her Banner for him is so cute.

Today, I am sharing my Banner with you.
It's for Halloween, cause I adore all the fun and exciting things that go into Halloween.
I was so excited when I was done and hung it on the mantel to display and take a photo!
I backed up, and Doug said "You spelled it wrong!" I gasped!  He was joking!!!
It's hard to see all the detail so I am doing a photo of each letter for you-
I added a few Tag 4 You Trick or Treats elements with pumpkin pie seam binding tails. A few snips of the grey and Black ribbon and some of the 1/8 black taffeta ribbon that come in the Halloween add on kit. It was intimidating but dont be SCARED off. It was worth it!
I made the back ground first, then I did the letters to spell what I wanted. I spritzed black on a few of the pennants I had left undecorated. Then used the spatter from Gorgeous Grudge in Summer Starfruit and Pumpkin Pie so they didnt look so "nakedy".

I also remade the treat holder from the last HOP. I wanted to show you that you can adjust it to fit anything.

Loved this cute spider nail file!
Hope you enjoyed your stop and got some inspiration to make your own special banner.
Now, you will continue on the Hop to Ronnas Paper Place at Ronnas Paper Place

She has a great idea in store for you!
Thanks so much for Hopping with us and see you again next month!

Halloween is coming soon

It's getting closer, can you tell? It will soon be Halloween. One of my favorite of several Holidays for the next 5 months- clear out to February!
I was at home a couple weeks ago and my sister made some samples for me I wanted to share with you.
The cards she CASED off the internet, I do not have the names, I am sorry I would like to give them credit for the ideas, but still wanted to post for you to enjoy.
I was not a fan when this Summer Stat Fruit came out, but what a killer Halloween color!!!
Have you tried any of the Washi Tape? You must!!!! It is so fun!
Love the Apothecary framelits and this one is so cute.
Some more washi tape- there is writing on the vanilla tape- gives you something to read!

Thanks for stopping by. We are blog hopping Wednesday so be sure to come back!
Happy Stampin!

Butterfly and Gold Grudge cards

After hearing about Shelli's terrible Horseback riding accident, I have been saying a little prayer for her to have a speedy recovery. At convention there were two cards done that I thought were "Wowsers". Is that a word? Ok, stunning might be better-
I helped my Mother make some of these cuties last weekend on my trip up to OKC for the weekend. It was done by Pam Morgan at convention with coaster board. Love that stuff! Pam used Coredinatins paper. This is my Faux sanded look. Used a white ink pad to make it look like it was sanded.

Next, I loved the cone pouch Pam did and this is a card she showed us. I will make the pouch next time for you.
It is Coastal Cabana, basic black and Modern Medley DSP. LOVE how it turned out. Did some grudge gold embossing on the DSP and card base. Pansy punch flower also got a splash of gold emboss powder.
Did you know you can emboss on buttons?
I just held it with tweezers, mashed in the versa pad then right into the gold emboss powder.  Heat like normal and there you are-

Hope you enjoyed these two cards. I had fun making them for you. Keep stampin and having fun and I will visit with you again soon.
Thanks-
C

Take and Makes from Convention

Just thought before I start doing Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas I would share the Take and Makes that we did at convention-or in my case-at home.
These cute note cards and envelopes go inside the decorated sack. What a cute Hostess gift or quick gift for any occasion!

Gorgeous Grudge is my new "Go to" set. It is the best back ground stamp set since Itty Bitty Backgrounds!
Loving the new In Colors too! they are so cheery.

Theses gift boxes even come with the clear sleeve that slips over to hold in all your goodies!
I even learned how to make spa kits with these cute boxes-cant wait to teach you how! Call and lets set up a class. Those cute sacks can even be cut and scored at the bottom and turn them into a Gusset bag to hold more-
So simple and so cute to do!

Last but not least, the muslin bags are going to be a hot item this holiday season.

We stamped this Maple Leaf on the bag and just used a piece of Chevron ribbon tied at the top when the bag was pulled tight and closed. I can not wait to see all the cute ways it get decorated this fall. Even my mother is going to use them for a Christmas place setting item. A Chocolate Santa and candy cane inside- YUMMY!

Let me know if you need to place an order to get some of the cool Holiday items. We have so many kits, banners, stamps and tag sets!
I will be sharing more with you soon!
Happy stampin!
