Mothers Day Swap

Hope you are enjoying some really pretty weather and basking in the warm of the sunshine! It is finally Spring here in Texas. One of my favorite times of year. I know it sounds early to say I have been working on Mothers Day cards, but the swap group I am in has finished our cards and now I am just waiting to get the new swaps. So, here is the card I made.
I used the Fabulous Florets set and Delightful Dozens stamp set. Crisp Cantalope and Whisper white paper.
My technique is the tag topper double punch and shadow stamping. The pistachio pudding ruffled ribbon really helped to tie it together.

Cant wait to share the swaps I will be getting soon! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Some of my Easter Swaps

I wanted to share a few of the swaps I had received the end of February from the Organized Swap I am participating in for the next 6 months. These ladies are pretty talented! I was very pleased with all 12 cards I received but want to share my faves-
Isnt he cute????This is from Becky Hey de Garcia. The Pistachio Pudding paper is an idea Easter color choice. The handle is braided with the twine from the SAB Sweet Sorbt accessories kit. Love this SAB DSP!!!!
L must get some extra be for it is gone on March 31st.

Here's another one for tonight to share with you-
This is one of the sweetest bunnies!  This was from Denise Jacques from Arizona.I just love him. How simple, the strip of Coastal Cabana is attached on top of the Mambo Melon mat. This is all on a whisper white cad base. The tea lace doillies are a favorite of mine too. So feminine......

Dont forget that Sale A Bration ends soon! Be sure to get on line or call me to place your order.

My way

I loved the last posting that showed you the pretty Pistachio Blessed Easter card. I turned it into an Awesone Birthday Card for my friend JoAnne.
I changed the DSP and used the SAB paper that you get FREE with a $50 order. This little stamp is so versatile you must get it!  I can even see it used as a Mothers Day card. Love the tea lace doilies too!

Then I was surfing on the internet and found the cutest Card from Natasha at INKINGOUTOFTHEBOX.COM
I had to CASE it and you can see why-

Isnt it adorable!
The base is Sahara Sand, Fresh Prints DSp, daffodil delight and coastal cabana. This is going to be given to my boss, Libby for her birthday celebration on Monday.

Lastly, I did a card with the Happy WaterColor set- I had showed you the swap from Leadership that Diane gave me so here is my version-
What a fun card to send to some one just to say hi or hey, here I am.
I love the Pistachio and Crsip Cantalope colors together with the white., so fresh and clean.

Well, that's it for now! Hope you are inspired to go and create some cute things.
Thanks for stopping by and check back soon for more-

a Couple Swaps from Leadership

I was digging in my bag of swaps from Leadership and realized I did not go back and post more of these for you. Here are to today-
The first card is the Blessed Easter stamp.Very versatile. I cut my words off and made two stamps out of it. I like to have the sentiment separate.
This is from Pat Militello of New York. She fussy cut the tulips that are embossed in black on whisper white.
Then she also embossed the saying in black and daubered some pistachio pudding and crip cantelope ink and punched with the 1 3/8 circle punch. She used the In Color DSP pack and tea lace dollies and tied an organza ribbon knot.
Adorable!!!!
This next one is with the SAB Youre Lovely set.
I adore the tea lace doillies and was thrilled that they carried over. Wished they has also carried over those rosettes. I miss those. This card is by Sondra Jumper. It looks stunning on the black. That Crisp cantaloup and Pool Party are so soft and with the dollie they look very feminine. There is a pearl in the flower at the bottom.

Remember there are 4 weeks left for SAB and you could get this stamp set free with your $50 order.
Just let me know if you want to place and order or you can go to my online store and place your order.

More Inspiration from Connie Stewart

Since I am still new to blogging, I have a few technical challenges when making "Links" work. I found this adorable Egg Throne on Connie Stewarts site this morning. This is my version. I added a bit of grass at the bottom (we have really cool Fringe scissors that make grass) and moved the tag to the back. The sleet and freezing rain kept me from being able to run up to Walgreens for Cadbury Eggs, so had to use a plastic egg.

Here is a link for you to watch Connie make her cute box.Click here
So cute!!! I can watch her all day.

Anothre thing I love about Easter is the candy- Chicks and Rabbits by Bachs.

I always buy a bag and call my sister Carol and tell her where I found them. I eat them All!!! And I dont share!!! What a sugar shock! I ate the last of the bag for breakfast and sent the photo to my family.
Love the colors. So "Eastery"   But, alas, they are gone. I only do one bag, but could eat 3!
Join me later as I want to share a card I found on another favorite site that also inspires me-

Sometimes, you just sit.....

Ever have those days, you want to do so much but find yourself to tired to follow through?  Seems like every once in a while, we all get this way. Those are the days I like to just surf the internet and get some inspiration.
Yesterday, here in Texas, it was 80 degrees. Wonderful! But we knew that storm was coming our way and Sunday our temps would  21 or lower. We have had sleet and Thunder along with it. YUCK!! So I want to share some things I have seen on Connie Stewarts site Simply Simple stamping. This is what she called a tea bag box.
It is like the 2-4-6-8 box. You use the Deco label framelit folded over and two holes punched and tied with the awsome silver ribbon that was carried over. You fill it from the bottom. I cant find the video but it is on her You Tube channel, you must find it and watch it.
Now that Valentines is over, I participated in an out of state organized swap. Our theme was Easter.
It is not until April 20th so there is lots of time to do a class or a workshop.
Here is my swap-
Watercolored using the stamp called Blessed Easter (w) only 11.95
I almost mailed them and forgot to get a photo- sorry about the glare from the translucent envelope.
This was a little tight making it landscape. So I was thinking about it after I mailed the cards and came up with this version the next week-

Instead of the label framelits, this version is the Deco label framelits. I also turned it landscape style.

Here is a close up of the embossing on the Very Vintage buttons with gold emboss powder. Have you done that before? It is so fun. Just pressed my button on the Versamark pad, carefully dipped into the gold emboss powder and tap off the excess. Placed on a teflon sheet and held it with a Skewer so I could not burn my fingers and heated with my gun. Let cool completely before touching it.
I have decided to do a Class By Mail for this card. You will get the stamp, supplies for 4 cards for $23.
Add postage (5.85) if I have to mail to you. If you are interested, please contact me as I am already placing orders for some customers.
Hope you enjoyed and got some inspiration today. Be sure to check out Connie Stewart on her site and view her videos. She is very inspiring!
Happy Stampin!
