Do you have the Curvey Box Framelit?

Do you have this framelit? There is so much you can do with the curvey box-
I found this cutie on Erica's site, Pink Buckaroo-

This was done by using only two parts of the curvey box. Then I added a little card stock in between to make sides. I used the wide oval punch front and back and inserted vellum  so you can see the light of a tea light when set inside. The snowflake is made with the pieces from the Snowflake Thinlit-
So cute isn't it? The Merry & Bright  sentiment is from the Good Greetings that was a Hostess item in October- wish it was available for every one cause it has the best greetings in it!

Hope this gave you some inspiration and you make something fabulous !

Like the Turkey said...

I am STUFFED! We had a wonderful Holiday yesterday celebrating Thanksgiving.

It was a very nice day to share and be thankful for all we have . I am blessed to have so many family members and friends in my life that are dear to me.

Here is a cute curvey box turkey I made to share and show to you all-
I used the Feathers Framelits and the card stock is Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey. The trim at the top is the Burlap ribbon - frayed and pulled loose with the gold bakers twine and wooden accents.

So, today, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday.
See you soon with some Christmas ideas-

Gotta get some Color Me Autumn Washi Tape!

If you dont already have some of the Color Me Autumn washi tape, call me and order some! It makes the cutest cards!
Our Stampin Sucess magazine for demonstrators had some fast make n take ideas using it and there are lots of ideas out on the internet and on pintrest.
Here is my idea I made up this afternoon-

My base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Blackberry Bliss quarter cut piece of card stock. The Whisper White cut 8 x 5 1/4.
I used the Gorgeous Grunge spatter with Black Berry Ink, then tore strips of washi tape. Stamped my greeting on a scarp of white and punched out with the wide oval punch. Used Crushed Curry cardstock and punched the decorative label punch and fast fused them together. Put on a couple dimensionals and stuck it on the card-how simple and how cute!
Hope you get inspired and try some washi tape too!
Thanks for stopping by today

Makes wonderful bag toppers. Cut one in black, the cut one in white and cut it in half. trimmed off about
1/4 " and stamped with Gorgeous Grunge in Blackberry Bliss. Use Trick or Treat from Goulish Greetings and the Fun Fall framelits and Fall Fest stamp set. You have to get this bundle-it is great for both Halloween and will make cute Thanksgiving Cards too!

Table Treats for Nephews Rehersal dinner-

I had the pleasure of helping one of my sisters, Charlie make some treat holders for her son's wedding last Sat Oct 18th.
We used the small treat boxes in the Stampin Up Holiday catalog. They wee adorable!! We stamped all over the flat boxes with the spatter stamp from Goregous Grunge. Made a tag with their names and date accented with a tad of burlap ribbon. They put the Bride and Grooms favorite candy insdie- snickers and peanut butter cups.

The place settings were so cute, everyone loved the treats!
Thanks for letting me share with you and give you an idea and hope you will use the tiny treat boxes for some thing fun!
Happy Stampin!

Christmas Stampin Retreat projects

The Christmas Stampin Retreat last weekend was a big hit, I hear. I helped plan two of the 3D projects with my fellow stamping Sisters, Denise Sullivan and Sami Brown. But, I was unable to attend because of a family wedding out of state and my husband, Doug and I took my Mother to see her grandson  Alec be wed in Gulfport, MS.
So I wanted to show you the two projects I did- Thinking about hold a class if anyone is interested. Or, they can be done "To Go" cause you will have written directions.

Here is the first- An Altered Cutting Board Receipe Holder

It is a white plastic cutting board decorated with DSP from Nordic Noel suite in the Holiday Stampin Up catalog.

Here is the second project- An Altered Charger Plate
This is so much cuter in real life, photo doesnt do it justice. The plate was purchased at Hobbly Lobby and they have gold, silver, red, green and the new popular Burlap!
Here is one I did sprying chalkboard paint in the center-

This is also so much better in real life! I did one last year on the red and wrote Happy Valentines Day on it

Gotta run to get some chores done this morning, but wanted to share and show you my projects.
Happy Stampin!

Swap card to share

 Welcome to my Blog

Let me share my September swap with you-
I did a card for Halloween. It uses the Motley Crew DSP and the Freaky Friends stamp set.
I just realized the background I used for taking my photo, looks like part of the card, but it is not.

I love to use black as the card base and add bright colors to make the objects pop. I CASED this layout from the talented Susie Wood at www.stampwithsusie.blogspot.com.
Doesnt this set just make you laugh? The DSP could stand alone-such fun characters on this sheet. They just come to life -
My second project
is the curvey box from the Holiday catalog. So much fun to play with and already so many ideas out on pintrest and stampin connection!
Just  LOVE this framelit! You must order it !

Thank you for stopping by and hope you are excited to start celebrating World Stamping Day with us and make some thing yourself!

Watercolor Winter kit class

Yesterday was the watercolor winter kit class held at my dear friend JoAnne's home. We had a great time, but must say, it was very intense. You have to paint everything first, then stamp while all the pieces are drying. Then you can put every thing together cause they have to be dry. It is worth it, they are beautiful!
The tree card is my fave!!! I adore low the triangle shaped tree is so cute on this card. The gold glimmer paper behind it lets a little sparkle show thru-
Isnt this sleight cute??? Who wouldn't want to jump on a sleigh and play in the snow??? Trust me in Texas, there is not much snow-Lucky if you get one or two dustings is all.

Photos do not do justice to this card- the vellum holly leaves just make this!!! On the rest of my cards, I am going go sponge the edges of the holly leaves to help set them off so they so a bit more.

I think when I finish the other 4, I am painting the words red or green and do opposite stripes. Love the velum snowflake, but it is lost on here for me. Such a cute set of cards and there is lots of embellishments to add.

It was a fun day and we love to meet and we love to visit. Thats what gathering your friends together is all about-
Happy stamping! See you again soon.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Remember these?

I was looking in my computer files and found a photo from last Year when I did a Halloween workshop- Since the purse die is still in the catalog, I want to share this idea again as you start thinking about doing some treat holders.
I still giggle when I see these!

Here are the owl cup-cakes I made and took to work-
This is by far starting the best time of the year for me!

A Rare Opportunity for "Girls Weekend"

I had a rare chance to spend the weekend in OKC with my Mother, two sisters, Carol and Charlie to stamp and giggle and just stamp our hearts out.

We had "Totties" but this time instead of cranberry juice, we used Peach Netar and made Belini's!
Mother and Charlie worked on their Paper Pumpkins-

Bonus was I also got to see my son, Brian and one of my Brothers, Roger.
Brian hates "Selfies" but he still smiled for me!

No stamping to share today, but wanted to share my wonderful weekend!
thanks

Two More Masculine Birthday Cards

Hope you are enjoying a nice Memorial Weekend! Special thanks and remembrance to all those who have given their lives in service in order that we enjoy the freedom they defended for us.
Today, I have two more Masculine Birthday cards to share from our swap the end of April.

I love the set By the Tide. I dont live by the ocean or have a beach close by but when I see the samples made with this set, it takes me there. The back ground is done with the Coral stamp and the cute balloon that the fish is holding is just to cute!!!

This cool card was done by Carol Johnson. She used the Walk in the Wild set and the HAPPY BIRTHDAY greeting was from the Hostess set Simply Sketched. That set has several good greetings and I am sorry to see them go. She used some ink refilss to make the marbled back ground with Bermuda Bay, Garden green and Wild Wasabi -the photo does not do it justice. It is a cool techniques you must try! The Moose is adorable! I know that is not a "Masculine" description, but he is just so "Guyzie"

Hope you got some inspiration from the cards and it helps you to create somenice masculine cards too!

thanks for stopping by! drop by again and see what I made for the upcoming Swap on May 31st!

Masculine Birthday Cards

Hello! Happy Memorial weekend to you. I know every one is busy this weekend but I want to share a few Masculine Birthday cards over the weekend from my Swap group. These 12 ladies are very talented, as you have seen so far since Easter-

Here is number one-

This was created by Beth Rozek-Langhorne
She used the Label Love, World Map and Serene Silhouettes stamp sets. Isnt that Argyle Emboss folder cool looking?  The basic Grey and Whisper  White look so nice-thats my red placemat it was on when I photographed it.

Here is number two-
This was Created by Linda Pagel
Rev Up the Fun,Gorgeous Grunge and Tiny Tiny Wishes. The splatter on the Basic Grey looks likeDSP paper. Grab this set fast since it is retiring and also the ribbon will soon be gone.

Number three-

This is created by Becky Hay de Garcia
The stamp sets she used were By the Tide, Gorgeous Grunge and Teeny Tiny WIshes. This is Triple Time Stamping- at least that is what we call here in my area. It is a fun technigwue to do- Love this stamp set and so glad it is still in the catalog.

Hope you got some inspiration and I have a couple more to share with you on Saturday night. Be sure to check back to see them!

Enjoy your weekend and Happy Stamping!

Part 2 Fathers Day Swap

Hey There!!!! Here are three more Fathers Day cards I want to share with you today-
Part 1 posted last night and they were so cute.

This Open Sea card was made byDebi Calandrelle from Hagerstown, MD
Baked brown sugar and Coastal Cabana are so nice paired with the crisp Whisper White. The Antique brad at the left on the compass is a terrific accent.

The card above is made by Jean (sorry, I cant read her handwriting on the last name)
I love Wetlands! This Goose or Duck, is such a nice masculine item. The set also has some cute little birds that I adore. They look as if they are running along the  waters edge on a beach. Good color combination of Crumb Cake, basic black and whisper whilte. The Old olive marker for the grass is accented with a green glimmer brad that is holding the message. Nice card!

Last, but not least, is a card by Tammy Wilson from Applegate CA
I love Grunge! Off the Grid is a great back ground and I am so sad it will not be available after June 2nd.
Be sure to order that off the retiring list- its a must have. The embossed fish from By the Tide and splatters from Gorgeous Grunge with a lot of distressing.....Its a Wow card. The card is Sahara Sand then  a layer of Marina Mist, then Old Olive. Arent those metal buttons cute- so glad the kept them and put in our new catalog!

Hope you enjoyed the Fathers Day Cards and I look forward over the weekend sharing the Birthday Batch next.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Fathers Day Swaps

My group of Ladies that are from all over the US did a Fathers Day/Masculine Birthday cards. They are just fantastic and I want to share the Fathers Day cards first since it is coming up June 15th. Here are the first 3:

WOW!!!! I love the burlap accent she did with the metal button. Lovely as a Tree is STILL in the catalog! It must be the longest running stamp set. This was done by cbautx@live.com
Black embossing really sets this off and on the wood embossed matt, very masculine.
This cute card was done by ????? her name is not on the recipe but if I  take the time, by process of elimination, I can maybe tell you who did it. So Cleaver- Its a quarter cut can the square on the front is what opens up and is the inside for you gretting. Love the Old World Map
The colors are so nice, this does not do it justice.
This was made by Liz Marcucci. Stuming color combination. This is actually basic grey, real red and whisper white. The DSP is I AM ME. The Die cut Alphabet spelling DAD really sets it apart and vey "Guyzie"

Tomorrow, I will share the other 3 Fathers Day cards and then share the Birthday ones. Hope you got inspired, cause that was our goal. Dont forget to check the Retired list before things are gone.

The new catalog will be out soon! If you have ordered from me you will  be getting a ccpy. If you are new, and in my area, you can drop by the house and pick up one. If not, I dont charge for the catalog but do ask that you pay the postage if I have to ship to you.
